A shift from referral to real support. This professional learning day is built around one question: what do we do next? It treats MLSS as a continuous problem-solving system, not a referral pathway, and is designed for mixed experience, from staff newer to MLSS to leaders and veterans who coach it. By the end of the day participants can:
Explain MLSS as a continuous problem-solving system, not a referral pathway
Tell student, instructional and system-level problems apart
Design a targeted intervention with enough detail to implement and monitor it
Use several sources of evidence to decide whether to continue, adjust, intensify, fade or change support
Name one change their classroom, team or school can test right away
The day includes a K–12 case-based problem-solving simulation (the MLSS Lab), a look at implementation barriers, and a 30-day implementation plan for each school or team. Bring a laptop and an SAT in progress.
Who it's for: MLSS coaches, interventionists, SAT team members and educators.
