The Social-Emotional Alliance for New Mexico (SEL4NM) has been awarded $40,000 (over 2 years) from the Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation to establish their organization and to support social-emotional learning resources and programs throughout New Mexico. REC-1 serves as the fiscal agent for the important work of this organization.

SEL4NM is a non-partisan organization that works closely with the Collaborative for Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and other nationally recognized organizations to promote high-quality research and practice in SEL.

SEL4NM will leverage relationships across diverse communities to contribute their insights, voices, questions, and experiences to inform local and national organizations and practitioners. Through these relationships, SEL4NM seeks to strengthen statewide practices and understanding as informed by the cultural heritage and context of New Mexico’s communities.
