Who is REC-1?
REC-1 is one of 10 RECs in New Mexico. RECs are legislatively established independent education service agencies administratively attached to the NM Public Education Department.
Each REC provides direct services to their member districts and higher education partners and assists in the implementation of state wide education efforts. Collectively, RECs directly serve 68 of 89 school districts in NM, predominantly school districts in smaller, rural communities.
