Special Education Services Coordinator (Contract Position)
Job Summary:
The Four Corners Regional Education Cooperative #1 (REC-1) is seeking a Special Education Services Coordinator to contract for the period of February through May, 2025, with possible extension for an additional year.
The Special Education Services Coordinator will provide logistical coordination of REC-1 Special Education support services, as well a technical assistance, resources, and training for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to facilitate compliance with state and federal regulations under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This role involves coordinating services provided by third parties, conducting professional development, offering tailored consulting services and resources, and supporting capacity-building efforts to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
The contractor will provide services across assigned LEAs within the REC-1 service region, with specific LEAs to be selected in collaboration with OSE and REC-1.
Contract Details:
- Contract Period: February 2025 through June 2025.
- Payment: $58,800 annually, prorated for the contract period, totaling $24,500 for the five-month term.
- Contract Renewal: Renewal for an additional year is possible, contingent on funding and need.
