Call for Proposals
We are pleased to announce that thanks to grants from the Brindle Foundation, Kellog, 100% San Juan, and our partner: San Juan College CFDC, San Juan County Early Childhood Coalition, and REC 1, we will host our 3rd annual EC conference
The Conference will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm at San Juan College, Henderson Fine Arts.
In honor of our Early Childhood professionals and families, this will be offered at no cost to participants.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Resource tables will be available to share info about San Juan County’s children’s programs and family resources. Materials can be set out freely (No person needs to oversee the tables) Please register to have a table available.
CALL FOR BREAKOUT SESSION PROPOSALS
We are currently seeking proposals for breakout workshop sessions that will build upon and add to the conversation of connections and collaborations with EC programs and families. Proposals will be given consideration for the following possible topics:
- Dual Language Information
- Practical tips for families and educators of young children
- Strengthening early relationships between parents and children, caregivers and children, caregivers and families, home visitors and families
- Trauma informed practices
- Practical curriculum ideas for everyday classrooms and/or home environments
- Impact of trauma or toxic stress on children, caregivers, and/or early childhood education professionals
- Positive communication between early childhood education professionals and families
- Play-based experiences
- Early Literacy Experiences
Our audience will include families of young children, EC program staff, EC students.
Proposals are due via email by Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 to rita.sjcecc@gmail.com
Notification of acceptance will be made by Friday, Oct. 4, 2024
